Freedom to Heal: Shelter Companions

So many of the men and women who serve our country throughout the various branches of the military, come home with battle scars that none of us can see. At It Takes A Village, we believe in the healing power of the human-animal bond. 

Our program, Freedom to Heal: Shelter Companions is designed to provide emotional support and unwavering companionship to those who have served our nation. 

If you or someone you know is a service member transitioning to civilian life and could benefit from the unconditional love of a furry friend, our program offers waived adoption fees for our rescue cats and dogs of all ages.  (Physician signed ESA letter is NOT required.)
