Dear friends,

As the season of giving approaches, we’re reminded of the incredible impact that kindness and generosity can have on our community. Our rescue relies on the generous support of our amazing Village in order to continue to carry out our life-saving mission. Your year-end, tax deductible donation will, quite literally, save lives.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in making a significant difference for animals and their caregivers in our area. Your support can help us achieve our mission through several vital programs, each addressing critical needs in our community, as well as assisting us on our Path to No-Kill mission, where we work hand in hand with our shelter partners to reach their life-saving goal to become No-Kill.

Support Our Low-Cost Spay, Neuter & Vaccine Clinic: Our top priority this Giving Tuesday is to fund the full opening of our low-cost clinic. This clinic is urgently needed in our area due to limited access to care caused by ever-rising costs and a shortage of veterinarians. Your donation will help us provide essential services to pets in need, preventing overpopulation and ensuring that all animals have access to necessary preventative care.  Preventing homeless litters saves life-saving spots in shelters.

Other Ways to Give:

1)     Hero's Fund: Our Hero's Fund provides emotional support and unwavering companionship to military veterans by waiving adoption fees. By contributing to this fund, you can help us honor those who have served our nation and offer them the companionship of a loving pet.  The gift of adoption to those who have served, is not only a gift for the veteran, but also the gift of life for the cat or dog who now has a loving home.

2)     Pet Care Pantry: One of the most common reasons people surrender their pets is the cost to care for them. Our Pet Care Pantry provides pet food and supplies to struggling pet owners, ensuring that pets remain in loving homes during times of hardship. Donations to this fund go directly to the purchase of pet food and essential supplies.  Providing a resource for caring pet owners to keep their beloved companions even through times of hardships prevents shelters from reaching capacity limits.  When shelters are not over capacity, euthanasia due to lack of space is no longer a concern.

3)     Animal Science and Education Program: Our classroom-based educational services, led by veteran elementary school teacher Karen Hartman, are designed to instill a deep appreciation for nature and foster a sense of responsibility and compassion towards animals. By keeping this program funded via donations, we can continue offering these invaluable educational experiences to local schools free of charge.
